My camper asks to move in, but wont accept the offer?

I finially found a camper I want to keep, and shes asked if she should move in multiple times, but has said something about liking her old town too much to move... have I been doing something wrong, I want her in my town D:

Just keep chatting with them and accepting their request to move in and EVENTUALLY (it may take a while) they will break down and say yes.

Yeah, they will do so eventually. Just don't give up.

I had a similar situation with Walker. I really wanted him and when he offered to join my town, he then says he rather stay at his old town. I kept going in and out of the tent until he decided to finally become a member of my town. Just keep trying and eventually that villager will decided to join you. If not, save and quit and try again later, like a few minutes later or right away.
