I told my mom about it and she says it could just be a squirrel in the chimney trying to get warm since I live in Michigan and it gets pretty cold. :\
Anyway, I just bang a pop can against the chimney and it stops scratching. :\

I have a cat but its old and it used to kill all kinds of things... mainly squirrels and rabbits.
Our neighbor's cat also hangs around our house but it never killed anything yet.

isopods are just pillbugs. they're not that gross. giant ones only live really deep down in the ocean. props on your biology class for the vocab.
