This afternoon I expanded my home for 348,000 bells which I will pay straight out as soon as its done.
I found a few fossils but already had them at the museum so I took them to Re-Tail and sold them, when I was making my way home I bumped into Phineas and he gave a few badges:

After I spoke to Phineas I came across Chops who wanted to trade my sapphire for his sailor shirt, I thought it was a rip off but still traded anyway cause I already have three sapphires at home. I then went to see shrunk and gave him some fruit and in return I learnt the sadness joke.
Well I am off to have dinner now but will be back on later after I've been to the island.
