I need your guys’ help on identifying classical music (not songs you hear on the radio, but songs you hear at symphonies). I’m currently looking for this one orchestral song that involves Latin choir (or Russian, which is commonly used for medieval style music) but you don’t start hearing the Latin choir until the second half of the piece. I believe IBM (a technology corporation) used this piece in one of their 2017 commercials (late 2017 if I can remember), at least the ending of the orchestral song.

I tried looking for it all over the internet, but I can’t find it. It’s hard to know the song without knowing the name.

I'm a music nerd, and grew up hearing a lot of Classical music so I feel like I might have a chance of identifying it for you.

Is it a happy or sad kind of song? Upbeat/moody/melancholic?

From your description, could it be this song?

EDIT: I was able to find this 2017 IBM commercial, and they sample a part of Vedi, le fosche notturne spoglie in it:

Thanks for finding it for me! Yeah, this is what I was talking about. It sounds like the medieval classic I was looking for.

Oh, woohoo! I had about 5 or 6 songs in mind and was hoping once you told me the mood of the song I might have a chance of picking the right one, but it seems I was lucky!!

One thing I didn’t know is that this song is from Italy, the country where classic music began (for your information, it’s also where the violin was invented, back during the Renaissance).
