Anyone else roll their eyes at seeing yellow or blue balloons but shoot them down anyway out of the small chance that it drops a recipe... only to be disappointed by more bells/materials?

Does the color really matter on whether you'll get a DIY or not? Is it SOLIDLY confirmed or is it just speculation?

LOL, speak of the devil... moments after that post, a yellow balloon spawned and dropped the Acorn Pochette recipe.
There's definitely randomness involved, though I personally have noticed fairly strong correlations between blue -> materials, yellow -> bells, and red -> furniture. Also been getting mostly clothing from green balloons since November 1st.
In my hunt for the Mush set, I found that it didn't really matter. Though I found 3 recipes in green balloons this morning, I also found one in a yellow balloon, and a few in blue and red balloons yesterday and the day before.

I've been trying to pay attention, and I haven't personally noticed a pattern. I have been getting mostly red, green and yellow though.
On another note, I did manage to snag 3 today! I didn't realize the forest floor and wall were part of the set! And I got them /almost/ one right after the other.
Yep. I got the Mush Parasol and Wall one after the other in green balloons. The Forest Wall came two balloons later in the yellow variety. I wanted to make sure I got the whole set before the maple leaves start to fall.

I think I will def reach that same goal I have, just got my 4th for today, which gives me 7 or 8 out of the 12. And it was the umbrella, I am so happy!
I bought the lamps, parasols, and stools a long time ago knowing I wanted mush furniture before I started farming for the maple leave ones.
The two sets are perfection.
I've only crafted the wreath from the mush set. Though a really nice set, I can't see how any of the items fit in with my island aesthetic. I'm also limited in supplies to craft said set, so there's that.

I've noticed that the balloons come by when I'm working, so I've started re-decorating my island and gotten balloons tat way

ooh me *raises hand*. I did get a seasonal recipe (haven’t started mush recipe hunting yet) a few times from a blue and yellow (more often from yellow than blue). I have actually been ignoring then lately when i had time to play (i’m a few days behind since i tted back a few days since i had not been able to play with egg hunt going on).

I’ve been doing what I did to get the cherry blossom DIYs, and just camping out on the beach hunting for balloons. I need the trees bounty DIYs too though, but Halloween got in the way of that, so I might go back on the 2nd switch since that’s southern hemisphere

Anyone else questioning your past self at why you didn't find all the acorn and pine cone recipes before November started? 
Yesterday, I got three duplicates of the Tree's Bounty Mobile and I'm still looking for half of that set, in addition to the Mush recipes.
