Museum model

I know in the GameCube version this was obtained when you donated everything to the museum, and you get it sent to you in a letter, but how is it obtained in New Leaf? I've heard it starts to appear in the museum gift shop after you have donated everything, but can anyone confirm? Thanks~

Hm. I believe after you have donated everything, you get a letter in the mail with the museum model attached. Every player in your town will get a model, even if they never donated anything.

I've heard that the person who donated the most only gets the model sent, but I am not sure.... There are a lot of answers to this question, mixing up with the GameCube version, and I can't seem to find the right one lol. Thank you!~

I got mine recently after donating everything to the museum, was was expecting it in the mail like on Wild world but it never arrived and I was a bit fed up and then suddenly one day I happened to be in the museum and it was for sale there.

it's orderable so I got someone to order it for me because I knew I couldn't complete the museum lmao

The museum model is unlocked after you have completed ALL of your museum. I have done so in both of my towns and the model shows up in the museum gift shop up stairs ramdomly. After I completed one of the museums, it took 2 weeks before it finally showed up.
I was afraid I wouldn't be able to complete my museum either, but the bugs (mole crickets & bees) are easier to catch in NL than they were in WW (thank goodnes).
And YES, it is reoderable.
