Ive almost filled one room dedicating it to my favourite football team but I don't know what to put in the extra rooms. So I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Also what have you filled ŷour rooms in?

Might not be very original, but so far I have 1 room where I'm collecting all the Bonzai and japanese garden related items.
In the other room I'm collecting all the Gulliver items.
The other 2 are still closed.

hmm that's pretty cool. Do you think you could post a pic of yours? I might steal that idea and get a Yankees symbol and make a whole room of it. @u@

In Midgar I have a cafeteria, a nintendo exhibit, a world exhibit (with gulliver items), and I'm turning the last one into a gift shop. Mine are pretty boring, but I like the idea of a gift shop. I'm going to have some clothes and dino models and stuff. And the Museum model if I ever finish the museum, heh.

In Virgo I'm going to have a Golden/Egyptian culture exhibit, a Japanese culture exhibit, a Native American culture exhibit, and a space exhibit :P

I decided to give Celeste's original job back to her, so I turned one of the rooms into an Observatory. It's based off of a recreation of the Observatory from previous games, but I've also added some extra space-related furniture and some new details. Then I felt bad for Blathers, so I gave another room to him. He now works in the Museum Offices, which has some fossils and miniatures out for decoration, a work area for him, a sitting area for guests, and a little lab corner where science happens.

I haven't decided what to do with the other areas yet since I have too many ideas. Haha. I thought of turning one room into a Gyroid exhibit where I just rotate which ones I have on display (like how a real museum always changes up what they exhibit). I was also thinking of doing an IMAX theater room, an Ancient Egypt exhibit or just a general archaeology/historical exhibit, and a "natural history" exhibit with ore/minerals, mushrooms, hybrid flowers, etc. I also thought about taking Blather's lab corner and making a full research center, but that would only leave one room for an actual "exhibit." Most of my inspiration just comes from real-life museums and how they are run.

Oh wooow all of this is so creative, and such good ideas!
Amazing. I might "steal" some of them when I have more items if you don't mind, hehehe!
I wish I was more creative, I always have very generic ideas it seems... :(

I have one room with all the fortune cookie items & one with all of Gulliver's items. Not very original, I know. The other 2 rooms, I plan on having an Egyptian Room and a Space Theme Room since I really do like both of them but I don't want them in my house. But I've been way to busy working on my town & houses to get those 2 rooms pulled together yet. Hopefully in the next couple of months (before June 9th), I'll finally get them the way I want.

Thank you so much! That's so kind. Haha, please do steal them! I'd love to see your take on those ideas. I'm sure they'll turn out lovely.

Aw, I think your room ideas are wonderful, too! It's not like my ideas are completely original, either. For example, I saw people making movie theaters, and I know that lots of museums have those fancy theaters with those huge IMAX screens, so I thought it would be fun to put that in the museum. I think that the execution of the idea is what makes a room unique rather than the idea itself! :)

I guess so! Is there even a giant screen in ACNL though? :o

Yeah... there isn't, unfortunately, which is why I haven't started on it yet. I didn't realize there wasn't any good furniture items I could use until after I came up with the idea. The only thing that comes "close" is the flat-screen TV, which is pretty puny, but it's what most people use in their movie theater rooms. Hanging patterns on the wall doesn't work, so the only thing I could do is make the wallpaper completely black, but then it might look more like a creepy basement than a theater. :p I won't be too sad if I can't make it work since I already have enough room ideas as it is, haha.

I'm thinking of using my exhibit rooms to make homages to different Sondheim musicals. West Side Story, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park, and maybe Sweeney Todd. The latter, being my favorite of the shows, I might actually make a second character for and design the house as a simple two roomer - Mrs Lovettes pie shop downstairs, and Sweeneys barber shop upstairs. Not sure which show I would fill the last room with then, if I did that. Maybe A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum....

ooo I was thinking of doing a research room in Ziti but I wasn't sure how to "fill" the room beyond a desk and some fossils or something. Do you think you could post a pic for inspiration?? (It's ok if you can't or don't want to :P ) I wanted to do a natural exhibit too, but same problem - I wasn't sure how much space I could fill doing that. I was thinking all the different ores and maybe an unidentified fossil. not sure what else. I like the mushroom idea.

The other thought I had was making one of the rooms like a "learning" area. Sort of like where someone would do lectures or something. With some stools and dressers as tables. bluh idk.

My boyfriend opened a Clinic, a Grocery/Deli, a Gym, and Public Library with his four rooms.

Mine are the Around the World exhibit featuring Gulliver's items, a Hall of Music exhibit featuring a collection of musical instruments, Nature's Bounty exhibit featuring all the types of fruit, gems, and shells you can collect, and lastly the K.K. Slider exhibit featuring K.K.'s albums.

ahh... all i did with my exhibits were put all my stuff that i had no room for inside, so basically it's just a big mess of furniture
maybe i should fix that

Desks and fossils sounds about right to me, haha! I figured that a lab room would be pretty bare bones and "clean" looking, so you don't have to make it look too fancy. But I'd be happy to post a pic later! I'll probably edit this post or make a new one or just message you directly if that's okay. I only have the little "lab corner" so it's honestly not too inspiring, though. :P I might go ahead and just make the entire research room so I can get a better picture for you. Haha.
