Mug coffee stains.

Do you keep using it?

The mugs with coffee stains belong to my parents. I just want to make hot chocolate, so yes I will not use ones with coffee stains.

It’s actually easy to remove stains in mugs. All you need is baking soda or salt and some dish detergent. Then you make a paste with the baking soda in the mug and rub it all around the inside. The salt method is pretty much the same except you don’t make a paste. Tea and coffee stains will come out of white mugs.

I keep using them because I just wash them after every use. I don’t have stains in any of my mugs.

All of my mugs do not have coffee stains so yes I keep using them.

No the stains completely turn me off. Spray Fantastique with bleach does take all those stains off but idk if yr suppose to use bleach cleaner on dishes but I do it anyways. I see a ring starting in my new coffee cup so it has been put on the shelf until I can fix it

I only drink coffee during the Autumn and maybe Winter months, and most of the time I've actually just ordered it from a business rather than brewing it myself. That said, sometimes I do get some grounds to brew at home. However, since it's so infrequent even within those few short months, there's not really a chance for coffee stains to build up and I don't have any mugs with coffee stains.

Would I continue to use the mug? Don't know, since I haven't encountered the phenomenon. I'd probably attempt the method that Captain Jigglypuff mentioned to get rid of the stains. Regardless, I feel like if I like a mug well enough that I'd either just keep using it anyway or convert it to some other use like a pen holder or something.

i don't think i've ever had a mug with coffee stains, but i'd still use it if they did as long as i've been keeping them clean lol

No, I just keep soaking it until the stains go away. If they're still there I'll use something more intense.

My mugs don't have stains.

i continue using it!
then again, i don't drink much coffee at all (i'm more of a tea drinker), though i have to clean tea stains a lot. surprisingly very easy to clean for me.
dish soap or powdered bleach (never together of course) + super hard scrubbing = no more stains!

It would depend on the mug and the amount of staining. If I loved the mug and the stains were minimal, I'd keep using it. If the stains got really dark, then I wouldn't want to use it anymore.

I don't have too many issues with mug stains, though. I don't drink coffee, only tea and occasionally hot chocolate. As soon as I'm done with the mug, I either clean it immediately or if I don't have time I put a bit of dish soap around the inside edges and let it soak until I can get around to it.

I also read somewhere that denture cleaning tablets are great at removing stains. I had one white mug that was getting noticable stains despite my best efforts. I used a denture tab on it following the instructions that were on the box and the stains came off pretty easily.

I wouldn't throw out a mug over the first stains, but if it becomes to intense I personally wouldn't use it anymore. Luckily my bf don't care about all that

I don't drink coffee. For tea ring stains I spray vinegar into the cup and scrub away.

i don't really use my mugs in the first place. i like cold drinks more than hot drinks and use cups most of the time so my mugs don't have stains. but i'd still use mugs regardless, it not really something that bothers me.
