Moving ping question

I heard that the cool-down for villagers moving out is 15 days. My island took about 16 days, but Cleo asked, a villager I don’t want to move right now.

Did me saying no reset the cool-down or will a different villager ask tomorrow?

no one will ask to move out at least five days after you tell someone no c: it’s a different cooldown from the initial 15-day one!

if you see a move-out bubble over someone’s head, and you don’t want them to move, you can also avoid talking them and wait until the next day! the bubble will move onto another villager (although it may be the same one if you’re unlucky). this way, you won’t have to deal with the pesky cooldown.

usually, what i do is record the dates villagers move out—when it’s been 15 days and i expect someone asking to leave, i ignore every thought bubble unless they appear above residents i want to move o: some users talk to their villagers like usual, then close out of the game if it turns out to be a move-out request!

i’m not sure if this makes sense, but i hope this is helpful <3
