I’ve heard that if you save near a villager then the next day they’ll ask to move out. (however, I’m not sure about this.) But, then I guess you could do it the harder way and constantly hit them with your net, push them around, and report them to Isabelle.
its probably too late but i heard ignoring them works? if you never talk to them from the moment they move in they leave a couple weeks later. i havent done this in a long time but im doing it rn with pecan
I've tried a lot of tricks to get villagers to move but the thing that works most consistently is a combination of time travelling and treating the villager you want to move out "normally",which means talking to them, completing their requests and sending them letters.Sometimes you'll get lucky and they'll ping to move with just the time travelling but most of the time that isn't enough. Here's a couple of other factors:
-If the villager you want out is your tenth villager or moved in via Amiibo card and you have less than eight Amiibo card villagers total in your town, then you might as well not even bother with all of the above.Tenth villagers and Amiibo card villagers very rarely ping to move even with time travelling. You'll need to use another Amiibo card to bump them out or move out another villager then adopt yet another villager so that your unwanted tenth villager becomes your ninth villager and they'll be much more likely to ping to move.
-They might have changed this but I remember that villagers wouldn't ping to move if the current date in your town was near their birthday.
I heard if you exhaust your friendship level with them, they'll eventually ask you to move out. I got these 2 villagers to move out by just talking to them the most and doing all of their requests. You do need a lot of patience, however. I don't time trave, and I don't know if you do, but this is my non-time traveling method.
Good old fashioned shunning. Don't talk to them. Don't respond to them. Don't mail them. Avoid them. They feel it and seem to want to move out. I've been doing that to *chicken name redacted* for about a week and just had Bunnie warn me she was worried there were going to leave.
