I was just talking to Freya and she mentioned to me that Fang was thinking about moving. I immediately ran to him and he didn't ping and hasn't mentioned it the 20+ times I just spoke to him. Is there a way to prevent him from leaving if he doesn't mention it, or do I have to wait until he pings? I really like him and would like him to stay
Do something for a couple of minutes, like fish, catch bugs, go Tortimer Island, ect. Then run back to Fang.
I remember this happened to me with Molly, and I freaked out when I went in front of her and she didn't ping. He won't mention it if you speak to him, so you just gotta do something for a bit then come back to him. He should ping you by then. .3.
I also had this problem, and it was because I hadn't talked to a villager in a long time. Once I cleared their special 'why don't you love me' dialogue the moving villager pinged right away.
I just dealt with this an hour ago with my villager Gala! Everyone has already answered you, but for future reference for anyone, usually what I do is go diving in the water or fix up my town's flowers for 5-10 mins, then walk up to them and see if they ping. If that doesn't work, do what I did an hour ago: save and quit your game, turn on your game again, and walk in front of the potential mover and see if they ping (99% chance they will).
