@lunathenia I know who this is about That particular person is known for being difficult in all sorts of trades and I'd just recommend not doing any business with her again. She's quite immature.

You could have simply reminded users of the offer. Some clearly forget. And most people are quite rude. It's a shame really.

I would be pretty upset too, you guys both agreed on a price and then they lied and said that you said something else. Sorry OP! Not all of TBT is like that though.

Yup better to just avoid and not even talk. If it was someone who could hold a respectful conversation, the person wouldn't play cheap in the first place unless they were utterly unaware. In that case, they ask to renegotiate.

I can totally bet that you would never trade with her again. I remembered when I planned on selling Marshal, I kept the promise and the right price for that other user. Unfortunately, Marshal was voided, but at least I kept promises. This is how I'll play. If they make a promise, they have to stick with the price we compromised on. I will not charge more unless if they want to pay more out of generosity. I will also not charge less no matter what the cause is.

That sucks too! I guess some people just come to forums and get what they want with least amount of effort/respect and then leave. I hope we don't encounter more crappy trade issues. At least it's still better than having things stolen.

I just wanted to know if I was over reacting or if others would be upset/annoyed as well. Thanks! Makes me feel better definitely. And no worries I love TBT, everyone else here that I've encountered so far has been sooooooooooo helpful & kind that it's been making ACNL more fun. To give back to the forum I've been thinking of doing a huge orderable give away after I find some time to play and get some work done in my town. I have more than a beach-full of orderables lying around... =/

I didn't realize that you responded! Sorry about that. I love TBT too, there's a couple bad apples, but for the most part I enjoy being a part of this community.

I'll be closing this thread since the person in question apologized and we renegotiated and had a successful trade. Turned out to be really polite but I guess she's just really forgetful (according to her friend who messaged me). I hope all you guys will also be able to solve things out if something happens. Sounds like I was in the lucky end of the spectrum. Thanks for all your tips on trading btw!!

I would definitely be upset by that too. Once you give a price and everything is all planned out, it shouldn't be changed unless both users agree on it. (▰˘◡˘▰)
