I used to hate finding the daily fossils but once I filled my musuem I just barried a days worth in a secluded spot and that solved that problem. Now the most boring chore is when you order alot of furniture and you have to empty your mail, open the packages, etc. So tedious.

Digging up bamboo shoots is more annoying than boring, but it's very tedious.
With so many of them in a row, all you hear is the music stopping and then starting over, then stopping and starting over.. again and again. I wish the game just continued the song from where you left off. xD

For me its definitely picking fruits. Before I got the better watering can it was watering my hybrid flowers, so tedious. But now it goes much quicker and I like doing it as part of my daily rotation, I dont really mind the fossil search and all that, I think its quite nice to have a walk around town doing all that

Picking fruits... ESPECIALLY when your path or flowers kinda trap the fruit trees so you have to PICK EEEEVERYTHING up... and then shake the trees... and then put EEEEVERYTHING down... And if you FORGET to move the things on the ground before shaking the trees, you can kiss a set of hundred bells or so goodbye...

I don't feel like catching particular insects or fish.
I would like the next "Animal Crossing" to give these villagers a second floor. They can use that area to mess up the appearance of their interior and, of course, leave the first-floor main room in original condition. (Come on, "Animal Crossing"?you know your consumers would like to see this!)

Between my town, digging up gyroids and laying paths, especially paths (corner pieces are on secondary character). Gyroids are becoming less of an issue as I cover my town in flowers and paths which creates smaller spawn areas. So far, I've been lucky enough to keep getting them all in one place.
I'd say the most annoying chore is getting island medals. Some of the tours are fun and challenging, but those are not the best for getting medals. I usually repeatedly play the Elite Scavenger Hunt Tour for medals if I'm alone which gets old after 4 or 5 times in a row. If that is not available, I'll play the Elite Hammer Tour which can easily drive a person insane after a few of them in a row. The Giant Dragonfly tour is kind of fun and is worth a lot of medals, but it takes too long (I wish it would be a 5 minute tour or you could end it when you've caught enough for gold).
I agree with Island Medals being annoying. I only like one game which is the scavenger hunt, but gathering the medals all together is a pain, especially for the gold badge.
Getting the gold badges for catching a lot of insects, fish, and deep sea creatures is also tiresome. It gets very monotonous, and even worse since this is among what I have left to do to have a "perfect" game.

Probably between plot resetting or deciding where to place PWP's. Plot resetting hasn't been too bad for me though as I just reset until they end up in an ok to perfect spot, and only reset in bad spots. Cause I know some people will reset to get the house in one exact spot. But placing PWP's is the hardest thing sometimes.

I'd say diving, because I'm not very good at it and it takes ages. My other chores at least I can breeze through quickly due to skill or time, but diving...1000 dives for the gold badge? Seriously Phineus? And how am I supposed to catch that elusive lobster for my encyclopedia when I'm so rubbish at diving.
