More Cranky?

So I only need 2 more PWPs - the Zen Garden and Zen Streetlight. I already have 2 Cranky villagers who I've built my friendship with and have gotten their pics. My problem is they can go a month or more without pinging me about a PWP. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to move another Cranky villager in or just be patient and wait. I'd love to hear what you all would do in this case. Thanks!

Hmmm I haven't tried it but there are a couple videos on youtube that don't require time travel.
Have you tried those? They suggest emptying all your pockets, bells and then swimming out the FARTHEST corner of your ocean and waiting 10 mins. Then you go back and a villager should ping you. It may or may not be a PWP but its supposed to generate the first villager you see to ping you. So if you wanna do a cranky put them near the beach....you may have to dig holes around them lol

i've tried it and it does work! here's the basic steps! there are videos on youtube about this though, unsure of what you'd search.
1. trap your villager somewhere (optional but it does help to know exactly where they are to avoid someone else pinging you)
2. empty your pockets so your villager doesn't ping to trade/buy/sell
3. fill your pockets with flowers so your villager doesn't ping to give you a gift
4. swim out to the farthest corner of your ocean and wait 5-10 minutes
5. go back and avoid other villagers as you make your way to walk past your villager in an attempt to get a ping
doing this means the only things they can ping is for a new catchphrase, new greeting, new nickname for you, or new pwp

it's a bit of a tedious process but it works!

Thank you all for replying! I actually have been doing the diving trick. It helped me get some of my other PWPs. For some reason it's not helping with these last two. My 2 Cranky villagers will ping me but not about PWPs. Lately they've started pinging me to ask if which I like more - spaghetti or mac & cheese.

@Khaelis - I sort of figured more might not help but I figured I'd double check before giving up on the idea completely.

If you can try playing at 3am to 4am. The cranky villagers are the only ones awake.
You might have to save and quit a few times if the other one is inside. Fill your pockets with flowers and don't carry a tool. I've carried a fishing rod with a pocket full of flowers and they wanted me to catch a fish.

So out of the blue last night as I came out of town hall one of my 1 Crankies pinged me and suggested the Zen Streetlight. It's like they knew I had posted about them.... lol!

You don?t have to go swimming. You can hide out in your house or in town hall for a couple minutes and someone will ping you when you step out

Usually when I'm trying to get a specific PWP, I will locate villagers of that personality and then go diving. Once I return after 5 minutes, I avoid unwanted villagers like it's Metal Gear and try to find the villager I actually want. Usually they will be near where they already were, and they have a good chance of pinging if they're the first to see you.

Woo hoo! At 12:40 AM my time today Wart Jr. suggested the last PWP I needed! I swear it's like they knew I posted about them. Weeks of nothing and then within 1 week they gave me the last 2 I've been waiting for. lol!
