Money Spot not appearing?

Hey, so for the last few days, I have yet to see a money spot appear, and I noticed it stopped appearing once I wanted to make a ’material rock’ garden where I placed out all these mannequins to force spawning rocks into a particular place.


So, I’m wondering if the amount of mannequins is messing with how it spawns?

I think that the money spot has the same requirements as a rock (a 3x3 area).

Yeah, if you have too much ground cover, you won't get a money spot. It has happened to me twice now, I have to keep on top of weeding and make sure my hybrid breeding ground isn't taking over.

Same thing happened to me when I was moving my rocks by occupying all empty space on my island. And, if I understand correctly, money spot needs a 3x3 space of grass/dirt to spawn(I got a spots for rocks with a single patch of grass surrounded by stone path and money spot never spawned here)

Ah, yeah, that makes sense, I don’t tt, so this process is taking a while, I would have been almost done, but had 3 days where they spawned in the wrong location as there wasn’t anything to prevent it from spawning, so now my island looks more like a horror with all these stands scattered about (on the plus side, the animals love it for some ungodly reason)

Maybe this should be a PSA for people that do this as the video I watch never mentioned this. (Mayor Mori)
