Mixed feelings about popular furniture series?

Yeah! I would like to do that, but truth is I have way too much stuff. I think I need to make another character just so I have a place to hoard everything :p

Oh goodness, hoarding. I'm SUCH a hoarder. I have all four character slots and all the museum rooms and I still have too much stuff. It will help when I can finish all my characters houses, tho. Then maybe I can pick themes and not flinch at the idea of selling stuff that I may buy later and only because I had it once to begin with...

I'm the same way with the gorgeous series! I bought the whole set but now... I don't really like it as much. I'm using a few of the pieces in my library room, but the whole set together just seems like too much.

I'm a big fan of mixing furniture sets, though, so I'm seeing what I can add to it to kind of... tone it down, I guess?

Yes, the gorgeous can easily be too much all together. It's lovely, but all that deep red and gold can make a room look and feel cramped very easily. I'm wondering how to blend it with other items. I mean, I don't need the entire set of the Gorgeous in one room, but I do want most of it. The counter, for example, can be stored away. But I just don't know what to put with the rest of it. I'm not a huge fan of plants, so that won't work. Well, I can use one, but not really much more. I wonder if a plant, and a couple of red roses or gold roses in their little boxes when you display them would still be overwhelming or if they would tone it down?

I have to wait for my new Emporium and get the set when it comes out and see. I have a set in another town stored somewhere, but I'm on a couple of towns now and am concentrating on them, so I have no idea where my Gorgeous set is!

Now, as for a letdown, I was really let down by the Minimalistic Series. Not the items themselves, but the lack of custom options. They are all so light and blah to me that I feel like I just wasted my bells for watered down moss. Ugh...

I'm in the process of building my mermaid room mixed with mostly white furniture! I'm using refurbished white ranch items and regal items, mixed with some other items such as the Fishing Tourney items (like the Jellyfish lamp). I'm still in the process of collecting everything, but I think it will turn out great once I'm done (I HOPE!).

Mermaid set is really nice imo. The items are just hard to get, cause there's always only one furniture in the island per day and I don't want to go to Club Tortimer like 100 times to get each of them..
I love the Rococo set. I really like the ways it can be customized c:

Personally, I never liked the Mermaid series at all. I don't like the Princess series either. I'm just not a fan of their color schemes.
