Missing Update Features

Did you load up a new day? If not, try that.
I can't say for sure bc I'm in tutorial mode still, and I can't TT or my plot will auto fill, and I'd really like one of the ten I'm trying to find rn ... but give it a shot.
 
Are you sure you update your game? If so...

Cooking: Buy it via Nook Miles.

Ordinances: Talk to Isabelle.

Kapp'n: Look in your island dock.

I don't have the option to buy cooking, and Isabelle won't mention ordinances.

Close the game, press plus button, search for the update option.

maybe try going to a new day before you restart your island though? it might take even longer to get those things if you do the latter!!

How far are you into the game? Have you gotten a 3-star island and unlocked KK?

My island that I recently restarted does not have Cap'n, Brewster, ordinances etc.
 
Restarting your island isn't going to help btw.
I'm blocked out of a handful of features rn because I restarted.
I wouldn't recommend it if it you're trying to force things to be available.

I'd just start a new day by time traveling forward.

Yeah, you're right. I'm just bummed, seeing ppl w stuff I can't get/do.
 
OMG! I just got my first visitor to my house! This is so cool. If you go into your home and stay their for a while, they just knock on your door and walk in and talk to you.
