Missing medicine recipe?

Hey everyone! After a wasp stung me, I talked to my villagers. They both mentioned medicine. Based on what I've read, this was supposed to automatically place the medicine recipe in my inventory. However, my inventory was full, so I didn't receive it - and now I'm not sure where I'm supposed to pick it up. Is it something that I can buy from Nook's store later on? (I don't see the recipe for sale right now - only the medicine itself.)

Talk to Timmy at Resident Services and tell him you want to buy something. When the window pops up, hit the right shoulder button. Medicine is in that window.

Yes, I know - unfortunately, it's the medicine recipe I'm looking for, not the medicine itself. I'd like to be able to craft it eventually. I'm hoping that someone can confirm either way that the recipe is available later, even if I have to buy it.

Did you check your recipe app ? I believe it was automatically added to the app without a card when I got it in my game

I got it from my Uchi villager when I saw her after being stung, hadn’t used medicine yet.

My uchi villager gave me the medicine recipe when I spoke to her after getting stung. Maybe you'd need to do that again another day?

This turned out to be the case. I had to wait for a new day, get stung again, then talk to a villager (this time with free space in my inventory). This time, they gave me the medicine recipe.

Medicine can be obtained as a DIY recipe after the player is stung by wasps and talks to any villager they encounter. They will give the player the recipe which requires 1 wasp nest and 3 clumps of weeds to craft one medicine
