Texas=southwest imo. I count east coast as any state bordering the Atlantic, other than the deep south , and all the states bordering east coast states.

People say Minnesota's Midwest too though. I don't agree with that. It has almost no plains. I'd consider it great lakes or upper midwest. Besides, if the midwest extended that far east it'd take up 85% of the country.
