I've been meaning to ask, do "reserves" count as you get them once they are in boxes? Or you get an early notice? Or...? I really want Lolly but usually wouldn't be able to be on every 20-30 minutes to see if she decides to move.

Yup~ It means you'll be the only one to get her when she's in boxes no matter what. Since she's tier 1 its 100BTB to reserve her.
