Grizzly just said something weird, I didn't catch all of it. He said something like tomorrow morning everyone is going to wake up and be shocked. There was a little more. Is that an indication that he is leaving? Guess I'll find out tomorrow either way.

I don't know, Reg, I would have turned it off if I wasn't sure.

Keep talking to him, because if he's planning to leave, then you should still have the option to talk him out of it. :)

Bit late for that, might boot the game up and see if he's inside and already in boxes.

If he's not, that means you can still talk him out of moving, if that's what he intends to do. :)

In my experience, every time a villager brings up moving, it comes with the opportunity to stop them from going.
The first time Anicotti told me she was moving, I let her go, and I've gotten actually quite a few opportunities to change my mind.

Actually, if a villager talks about moving out, you should get two options of how you can respond to this. If those options didn't show up for you, I guess he talked about something else but not leaving your town.

Otherwise, I think if you didn't boot up your game yet and time traveling to the day where he said that then Grizzly should be there and not in boxes if really wanted to move out. In this case, you could talk with him and other villagers to find out want he meant.

Okay, Muffy just told me she was planning on leaving. Grizzly is still in. I thought the dialog in the first post was the equivalent of "you're neglecting me, so I'll go now."

As long as you don't get the two options to either say goodbye (when he/she wants to move out) or tell them to stay then the villager isn't about to move away and just talk about something else instead. Anyway, glad to hear that Grizzly wants to stay.

I'd hate to lose my favorite villager. That would not be good
