I'm so sad Pop spilled in my purse and my 3DS was on and inside one of the pockets. It was off when I got home (I turned it on this morning) and I wiped it off and let it dry. I turned it on and it flickered and it turned off. I haven't turned it on since, SO long story short. Cycling is on hold until I feel like turning my DS on. I'm pretty sad about it since I'll have to use my bf's DS. I just feel bad since there were so many good Villagers on my SD copy =.= /sadpanda

I spilled water on my last ds and it ended up dying and I just sent it off today to see how much itll be to repair so I can have it as a spare :c

Id leave it atleast a day before you turn it back on to make sure no liquid is inside it...I turned mine on constantly and i think thats what killed it maybe if i coulda left it a day or so itd of been ok

I got scared and turned it on just that one time. Ahhhhh, so stupid. My phone was in my purse and pop was on it. It works just fine, yet the stupid ds has issues. Nintendo needs to fix this issue, lol.

Put it in a bowl or bag of dry rice for a day or two and hope for the best. I spilled Coke on my very expensive DSLR a few months ago... the screen wouldn't turn on at first, but after letting it sit in rice for a few days it's been working fine!
