Mermaid/fairy items

Like any other fantasy-obsessed child, I both wanted to be/meet mermaids and the fae. Perhaps that spiraled into my love of witchcraft later in life. I was wishing that there were mermaid/fairy items in NH! I don't mean furniture... statues, a craftable fairy ring you could make during mush season, etc. I'd love to hear others thoughts/ideas on items like these!

I mean, besides the mermaid furniture, there are two dress in two color combos each and shoes you can get from Pascal, and the Able Sisters sell a fairy dress (think Tinkerbell), if I'm not mistaken. Besides that, I don't think there's much to that sort of aesthetic, besides maybe fairy wings or a mermaid tail, that you couldn't make yourself using items in-game. Fairy rings were a popular feature in New Leaf towns, and using the glowy mush lamps might fit in nicely with that. Or you can just make your own patterns.

I used the HHA house trophies and mom's pen stands to make a fairy village on my island. I planted some cedar trees and stunted their growth by planting a pear tree behind them, and used windflower fans as windmills. I'll add some mushroom items, once autumn rolls around, but it's mostly done now, if you want to check my dream.

You can make a fairy ring with tree stumps, mush stools/lamps, and bushes!

I study witchcraft too !!! I actually am Wiccan! <3 I adore fae! Not so much mermaid stuff in the game though, since it kind of in my opinion mocks the folklore ;w; I love fantasy stuff though.. I wish there were fairy statues and real nice mermaid statues too! and maybe some stuff from acpc like the fairy bottles and petals and gigantic flowers!

as for stuff in the game, well, there is a wand that's the plain wand that looks like a Wicca wand/witchcraft wand! I wish we could cast spells sometimes hehe but I pretend I spellcast on my florals to make them grow big and strong !! hm hm thinking.. thinking.. I.. think that's all I can think fo that's not furniture that's fairy/magickal!

i've always wondered why they didn't carry over the NL themes a bit more - the themes there, particularly the fairy theme, appealed to a lot of folks. (i personally cry while missing the modern theme every day )))))

the idea of themed sets seems to have gone a little out the window this game, but for this game, i feel like these work within the fairy tale theme:

• some of the seasonal weeds actually!
• the mums and roses
• the way you can terraform winding rivers through forests and drop random wands or star frags
• witches' and wizards clothing items
• ability to mannequin anywhere could allow you to do a sewing/cinderella type thing with a dropped shoe?
• gnomes lol
• the smallness of the windmill door could make it a party of a fairy town tbh. with that, i've seen the hha house awards used as fairy houses too
• play with putting objects where you wouldn't expect to find them? like a violin alone on a cliff with a single plucked rose, or a tourist telescope pointed at a cliff (covered in simple panels to look like a door?)
• also tbh just generally playing with some setting creation with the antique/log furniture and items, the kitchen stuff like kettle bathtub, iron stone fence, mum cushion, hyacinth lamp, star clock, frozen sculpture, tree's bounty stuff, etc. fairy tales tend to have specific settings for things like, HAUNTED FOREST and PATH TO GRANDMA'S and WOODCUTTER'S HOUSE. maybe trying to create your favorite of those?

but really, i agree. the whimsical~ items seem far and few between. hopefully we will get more furniture updates real soon. until then, good luck! for sure, at least, when we get the halloween event, there should be some more options, including candy furniture and candy itself!
