Merging Flowers

Hi everyone,

I'm curious about how to merge flowers in the game. Do the flowers need to be in a specific position in order for them to merge. I plant them right next to eachother, but nothing happens! Also, can I put just any two flowers together, or are there certain patterns I need to follow? Thanks so much for your help.

The only thing I can tell you, is that it may take 2 days to create a hybrid. And it's recommended not to time-travel. Hope I helped ^_^
