Okay, so before I give Merengue away, here's my question. My last dreamie, Zucker, is in my cycling town and I want to bring him over. I've been time traveling to get Merengue out but now I'm not sure if I will get a villager right after she moves out. I currently have 10 villagers and it will be 9 once someone adopts Merengue.
Basically, am I in danger of getting a random move in if someone picks up Merengue today then I time travel to the next day using my mayor character?
TT'ing one day after Merengue has moved out will be fine .. You don't get a new move-in that quickly because the game has to have a cool-down period between villagers (IE, the time to let Merengue fully move out)
But you shouldn't get a new villager from anyone unless they have recently voided someone, or you get StreetPassed and they've recently voided someone.. If that happens, you still won't get someone on the first day after TT'ing to get Merengue out..
So provided you don't TT more than one day, you'll be fine

You may be in danger if that person who is adopting Merengue doesn't clear the void before they enter your town.
Before someone enters your town, just make sure they have visited a full town of 10 villagers to clear their village pool.
What I do is this : TT 1 day after the day someone picked up the villager and then I adopt someone else, unless as said someone voided a villager there's still a really small chance you will get the voided character but that's more likely not to happen

Ummm...to be safe, I think Pofer will take her since their last villager was adopted for sure. Also, I'm sure Pofer woukd do a giveaway if she ever wants to move again.
