FRANK MOVED IN!!1!

I'm ambivalent towards him and his house is in an awful spot but I was missing villager slot 6 completely for a while there and I was starting to think that I broke the game and would have to reset and find someone to hold Klaus for me. Alas, the problem fixed itself. Now I can begin the process of getting him to leave, safe in the knowledge that balance has been restored to the Animal Crossing force. *phew*

The circle is where he put his house and the rectangle is a bridge. A bridge that I will get rid of one day and move elsewhere but nobody seems to want to suggest the wooden bridge to me so here it shall stay for now, making his house placement incredibly inconvenient as his house starts right there in line with the centre of the bridge. :/

Which brings me to my current situation of lowkey wanting to reset anyway :D
I'm up to having the Dream Suite/working on Museum 2F so far. But I can just hack the town to make it over which is no biggie, although the lil town history log thing might not be as proper as I'd like. All the doom and gloom about the fate of Memoir made me really think about town themes and I really wanna make a zen town, but I don't know whether to keep the name Memoir and make it all dark and foresty, full of rain and bittersweet memories, or go for a more ~*kawaii uwu*~ approach and change the name to Purikura, a saccharine town full of face-cutouts and A++ photo opportunities (mainly inspired by the fact I can't seem to go to a dream town without taking eleventy bajillion screenshots lol).

((I wanted to make a wedding themed town with the animals in couples once, but I wanted to call it Matrimony which took up too many spaces :())

The point: which town style should I go for?

I would do foresty.
AND I LOVE your map!

Thanks! It still needs a lot of work (I'm regrowing flowers/trees that I had to destroy when editing the map so they wouldn't end up in weird places and my villagers' houses are definitely gonna move around when I decide I no longer need a massive messy hybrid garden). But the actual lay of the land is pretty much done which I'm happy about.

I might change my native fruit to apples since I'm getting real bored of oranges and perfect apples would go great with that colour scheme...

I for one love photo ops in dream towns, especially face cutout standees! Basically, if someone has a standee in their town, I'm going to stick my face in there and take at least one pic. (That's why I have 4 standees in AHS, and 5 in Goblin. They're just fun!)
As for Zen vs Kawaii, I'm neutral.

I'm all for them as long as I can find designs that I like for them. I found a QR for a Mona Lisa one a while back.

Dark and rainy. It's not like you can't add a touch of cute standees anyway (you totally can). I'd keep the name it fits really well. You could even do the town half and half honestly to show good and bad times n all that. Dang I'm wanting your map. You're making me miss Wild World. XD

That's actually not a bad idea. :)
Also I'm glad I put cliffs on both sides; not only is it nostalgic but that much beach is of no use to me. I have just enough to do something cute with and go diving, and about an extra half-acre of landscaping space on dry land. :D My one criticism for such a map in game is that I only have one central beach acre that looks natural with a ramp, the other one on the left is okay but the beach/ocean waves end really abruptly - it's something I'm trying to cover up slightly with trees and bushes but for some reason the game is okay with bushes on that edge yet it keeps disappearing this one tree I keep trying to put there.

You have to have 2 ramps otherwise the game crashes. :/
