i can never get avery to respond. his name in the german game is "quetzal" (the fringe?!) and i have no idea how to pronounce that.

The megaphone is really annoying, half the time it thinks I'm calling for snowmen when I'm trying to call for a neighbor.

Well, even tho I don't seem to have any pronunciation problems, I can't "follow their voice." ARGH! I move and try again, and they keep saying, "I'm over here!" and stuff like that, but I can NEVER find them. I sold the damn thing.

Everyone answers if I speak in a bit of a sing-song voice. They don't answer when I talk in monotone. So I have to talk like I'm calling a pet. xD; The ones with regular names like Filbert and Maple are all good. Julian sometimes answers to Willow for some reason. I think the one I had the most trouble figuring out was O'Hare--I didn't know if it was o-ha-reh or o-hair. I figured it out eventually.

Bam is the only one who never answers to me no matter how I say it. xD

you can literally say just about anything into the megaphone that isn't one of your villager's names and Kapp'n will answer
and I really hate that.

If I blow into the megaphone, Kapp'n will answer. If I try to call a snowman, it never works. I rarely get Skye to answer when I say "Sky". There are other villagers I have issues with, but I can't remember them right now.

I haven't actually tried since getting all the deer so just thought I'd give it a shot and compare to the OP.

Bruce, Diana, Deirdre, Zell, Bam, Beau and Fauna all responded to their own names. ~ But Fauna took 2 attempts, no one responded at first.
Deirdre responded to Fuchsia 3 times and then when I said it like few-shaaa, she responded. And Kapp'n didn't pipe up at all ~ he used to in my old town all the time. D:

Lopez and Erik are being hermits today, so dunno about them.
Am pretty surprised at how much success I had with them.

Let's face it, WHY WOULD THEY EVEN ADD A RESPONSE FOR KAPP'N? IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO KNOW WHERE YOUR DOCK IS? IF YOU DON'T, YOU HAVE A MAP, YOU HAVE A BEACH, YOU HAVE THE SLOPE TO GET TO THE BEACH, I MEAN SERIOUSLY??!!

I tried Bruce, Bruse, Bruuce, Bruice, Bruise....I covered all possibilities I could think of...
