Meeting a villager you already have?

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I have these questions.

1) What happens if you talk to a villager in another town that lives in your town? For example say Peanut is living in your town and you go to another person's town and talk to their Peanut. Does the villager say anything interesting to explain this?

2) What happens when you bring Katie to another town with Katie already there? Will there be two Katie's in one town or will one cease to exist?

I experience question 1.

Answer: They act like they don't know you. They introduce themselves and that's about it. Nothing special unfortunately

However if you see them in a dream, they recognise you

You can only have one katie, so I dont think your katie would follow you to a town that already has katie.

when this first happened to me i was a bit surprised but i think its super cool now haha

edit: i think if that town already has katie, katie will keep dropping her ticket if you try to take her.
