Share with me your story of how you have helped the New Leaf community, whether here at TBT or elsewhere. Helped someone find his dreamie, or hosted giveaways? Helped people fix their town after getting it ruined by a mentally disturbed guest? Etc., etc. I am not looking for proof, but your story about how you have benefited the community, so focus on details rather than links.
Of course, I am not asking for a scholarly essay, but give as much detail as you think relevant.
I will not necessarily be picking the 'best story,' and even if I tried I am bound to disappoint people anyway. I'm just going to pick among promising entries and who is conveniently online at the time I arbitrarily decide to deny anymore entries. (So I might end this in a few minutes, an hour, or even a day; who knows.)
In other words, it's like musical chairs, except you need to give your story to enter the game, and since I am looking for 'promising entries,' those who seem to me to clearly not care about actually sharing their story might not make it into the pack of entries I will select from.

I'm interested to know who's gonna apply for him & what sort of personal experiences they've had with the New Leaf community. I can't explain it really, but this is the type of giveaway I like.

I had Marshal in my previous town to go with Poppy because they were beyond adorable together. When the time came to reset my town I sold him because I couldn't find anyone to hold him without wanting to keep him. Since I have joined this site I have tried my best to send all of my unwanted Villagers to people who love them enough to call them Dreamies. I tried my best to foster Apollo for a stranger but after many days of no contact I had to let him go to someone who actually wanted him.
I wanted Pietro to be my permanent smug villager as he was a sheep, and a clown, but after a few days I came to the sad realization that he would give me migraines upon entering his house. This morning I had to choose between two people who wanted him very badly and found it a very tough decision.
Now I am looking for my new Smug Villager and I left it to chance on whether it would be Julian or Marshal as I love them both the same.
So now here I am before you to see if you think I am a suitable home for Marshal. If not I understand completely and will continue my search for Julian or Marshal. It's half the game anyway right?
There's even a chance that saying yes will make me realize which of the two I want more.
Hello! c: I'm new to playing ACNL with anyone other than friends I already had with the game ~ I've been on this forum for a few days. On the forums all I've ever done was help people out with small favors. Such as letting people in my town to fish, sell their fruits in my town, etc.
However, I bought a friend I met online New Leaf for Christmas and introduced him to the animal crossing series. I gave him tons of bells to help out with his town, sent him guides on hairstyles/the right face to choose, let him in my town whenever he needed to sell turnips/fruits, and even helped him get some dream villagers. I don't know if this counts as helping the community, but worth a shot ;P
I was lucky enough to find a kind person who sold me Marshal for 500k and in return it made me realize how much I value kindness and wanted to spread it. Every "Tier 1" villager I got (that i wasnt interested in) I gave away on tumblr for free. It made many people happy, especially the newbies to the AC community who couldn't afford their dreamies like Merengue or Julian. Unfortunately my cousin (who is only eight so i can't blame her) reset my town with Marshal in it. I have been searching ever since. On tumblr I have assisted various others in catalogueing rare items and I always buy items from poor mayors for 2x or 3x the price to help them out. Although i cannot do that anymore because my town was reset and momey was lost. I have since been trying to make money back so i can buy marshal, but no luck so far. If i do recieve him I can go back to using my money for assisting other mayors in neeed.
Well my signature is yet to be updated! But I've always loved to give away dreamies and or villagers! It makes me feel happy for that person that they have gotten a villager! •.• Also I love to help others on completing their town! Sometimes they are in need of extra help on completing their dream town! There is still so much to do on this community and I still want To try my best to support the community! I know everyone should do at least 1 thing to help others. It dosent have to be huge but something that can put a smile on their face. And I always try my best to do so! I'm a big addict for helping people with a variety of services, dreamie searching, weed-pulling and just general help altogether. I straddle between two communities and offer my widespread help amongst those who need it! I guess you could say I'm a backrest for those who need that support and it's a very nice feeling to know someone appreciates what you've done for them. I'm extremely picky about my villagers so most of mine go to giveaways or raffles and are sometimes donated to cycling services where they could get more attention if they're cycled out.
Marshal is my main dreamie, probably as you can see and I've actually only seen him ingame one time- any other time I haven't spotted the marshmallow squirrel at all!

I love Marshal, as he is a top dreamie of mine.. I reset my game because I lost one of my all time favorite dreamies and therefore I lost him that night as well and it killed me. I spent over 50 MILLION bells, yes. 50 MILLION on him in my other game, yet still reset because I lost him. And now not being able to afford the price he goes for now, hurts almost. I just love him and he just makes me so happy seeing his cute little angry face whenever I open my ds.... :')
I have helped the NL community on TBT and a couple other sites. I have hosted multiple free giveaways with villagers such as Lolly, and rare sets such as the full gardening set, etc.. I love helping other and am always willing to do whatever I can to make someone happy. Not only have I hosted giveaways, but also free catalogue events and have helped a couple players clean up their town after some huge scammers blew through their towns. I have also held a cycling thread, in which I have helped countless people obtain some of their very own dreamies and achieve their own animal crossing goals. I love helping the community and ever buy many rare items JUST to give them away for free (will be doing this tomorrow actually hehe). I'm a very giving person and I want to continue helping everyone here.
I also used to have a cycling town, but I gave that extra game to my little cousin whose dad couldn't afford extra things like that at the time. I also haven't been too active until recently because of graduating school, family issues, etc.
This is a wonderful thing you are doing, especially for him being so popular; thank you. You're a wonderful person, and if promise if I'm chosen to give him a FOREVER home. No more resetting.

I remember first signing up for this forum when acnl FIRST came out and then completely forgot about it, and eventually got back on the forum when I started my super dreamie hunt tyraid of staying up til 8 am stalking cycling threads and giveaways--and because of this forum's never ending generosity I got every single dreamie of mine for free (with the exception of zucker, but he was only 1mil+a buttload of items so that MIGHT AS WELL BE) and if wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have the happy lil town I love so much--the only thing I've done in return is do an ankha giveaway and hold a girl's stitches for four months
so yes it's 6 am I haven't slept and this giveaway made me happy so cheers to you guys you all rock gold stars around
Marshal is my #1 dreamie, he'd be given a permanent home! Also i have given 3 people their dream villagers so far, even losing one of my own to give her to someone else! I have also helped a few people create pathways and such. Please consider me for Marshal! ♥
I really like Marshall; not because he is popular but because he is supercute and brings back memories of a grumpy looking pet I used to have.
I try and be a helpful person in the game. I always leave WiFi ratings and I'm always polite and considerate when I'm in peoples towns.
When any of my villagers leave I offer them for free. Some get voided if nobody replies but some have helped people get their dreamies. I don't really check what tier villagers are because dreamies can be any tier!
I've also opened up my gates to allow new users with no WiFi rating the chance to collect signatures. Somebody has to be the first one to trust them!
I believe I've helped the community of New Leaf in a few ways, at least. I recently started a group called 'Dreamie Hunters'. What we do is take a bit of our own time to look for each other's dreamies, whether it's on TBT, Reddit, ACC, or Tumblr. If we happen to find someone's dreamie, we tell one another and make sure to try our best to reserve the beloved villager for their hopefully new home!
It's really a great feeling to just be giving away someone's dreamie, something they may have been looking for a long time. I also have a cycling thread that is active. It may be just myself right now, but I'm okay with that. I've gotten a few people some of their dreamies, which is what is the important mission of cycling, right? I had Marshal over a year ago. I was fortunate to have him camping in my tent, maybe the first or second week of playing. Who knew how huge of an impact that cute little squirrel would be making in the AC community! I'd love to have him back in my town again!
This game of musical chairs has come to an end, but I have a short visit to make with the university so I'll know who gets Marshal when I get back. In fact, I have already made a selection, but we'll see if that person replies promptly. If not, I'll select someone else when I get back.
