Selling Marshal, Skye, Cookie, Willow & Baabara (I'm new, need help please!)

Okay, so I don't really know how to sell, buy, trade (etc) villagers - I've never done it before. I happened to have gotten a lot of tier 1 and tier 2 villagers by buying a few packs of amiibo cards, and then went and bought a few individual cards I really wanted for myself and I've been moving guys I want in and out that way and just letting whatever villager I had move away (to mainstreet it seems LOL).

Anyway. I have 10 villagers right now and I just got a Merengue card in the mail and I want to move her in so I was going to replace one of the following:

Marshal
Skye
Cookie
Willow
Baabara

When I kick one of them out to make space for Merengue, will they will be in boxes and then the person who wants them can come pick them up? is that correct? Sorry if that doesn't make sense. haha Never traded villagers at all ever. I don't understand TT and don't really want to do it, was wondering if it's required?

Also, I am 5 days post op from oral surgery and my pain meds I'm on makes me kind of loopy, so if I don't make sense let me know lmao Hopefully that all makes sense.

Haruka - I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think so. I don't remember changing anything about him, but I think he started wearing other ppls shirts and stuff. haha

Hanami - I know it takes a couple days for the new amiibo person to move in, but does me not TTing affect the other person getting their villager? Like if I scan in Merengue in place of Marshal, he is immediately in boxes and leaving the next day, right? So then someone can come and pick him up right? Or they can't unless I TT/they have to wait if I dont?

I really like Marshal and will rescan him later on probably, I am just unhappy with where this Marshal put his house. haha.
