Ah damn. Yeah, New Leaf was pretty unforgiving with move outs, sometimes. In turn, I feel like New Horizons isn’t harsh enough, villagers won’t even move out unless you speak with them :/

I would keep them both imo. They seem to go well together imo. They're like salt and pepper or ying and yang. Ditching one would feel like Tia and Tamera but without the Tia or Tamera.

I plan on moving Buck out for Marshal at some point in time on my island.

I don’t feel Smug personalities are different enough to have two of in a town, they’re already repeating each other’s words within ten minutes :/

It’s not his fault or anything but getting Raymond was a huge pain so... I had to make a choice ^^’

I've had the exact opposite experience. They are also different subtypes and smug types (A and B) for whatever that's worth.

But with a little imagination I've come to the conclusion Marshal is a cute bully and Raymond is sweet with his gentle selfishness. Plus the smug dialogue is one of my favorites!

Why do you say Marshal's a bully?

I don't mean it as an insult, I think it's cute that he's a bit mean.

The RNG has just blessed me with Marshal getting all the rude smug villager dialog and giving Raymond all the naive ones lol!
