OK, so not too long ago, I've bought the DLC bundle to Mario Kart 8 and when it was all downloading and installing it got an error and told me to delete this unnecessary data.

I accepted it and went to delete it, however the deleting process took more than 30 minutes, it took over 3 hours and nothing happened.

I turned the power off, redownloaded the dlc and still there was an error. Did the entire deletion process and once again it took longer than necessary.

Honestly, I don't know what to do at this point, I don't want to risk formatting the hard drive because eof all of that save data with no external device and I really need some help for people who had a similar issue like this.

If anyone has a solution, let me know.
Thank you for your time.

I would try looking in Settings and see how much data was corrupted. (Extra Data/Downloadable Content) Delete the DLC and see if that fixes it. If not, delete the Extra Data. If that also doesn't work, try Nintendo's Customer Service.

Yeah, it didn't work.

I even called Nintendo's Customer Service and they said to redownload it, but still it won't work.

I'll try calling them again tomorrow.

Have you tried to delete the entire Mario Kart 8 data (this includes game download, save file, update data, shared data and DLC data), unplug your Wii U for 10-15 minutes and let your console redownload everything for the game while leaving your Wii U on rather than standby mode? Yes, you'll lose your progress, but this can solve your issue.

Otherwise, your Wii U's flash memory might be faulty. You'll have to send that console and its GamePad to a Nintendo Repair Center and hope for the best.

Crap, didn't work either.

I would send it in for repairs, but my warranty is gone and i can't do anything about it.

I guess i have to get another Wii U. :c

It's still possible to send your Wii U to a repair center even though your warranty has expired. It'll just cost more than if your warranty is still in effect. Try calling a rep to explain your issue and take note of the price. Compare the price between getting yourself another Wii U and getting your Wii U fixed.
