Mario Kart 7...Yeah I said 7

Soooooo...I'm always behind on things, and didn't roll around to getting this game til quite recently. I'd blame ACNL, but...no.

Anyway, I'm doing Okay, but maybe I'm good at around 100cc on the first few cups...then it's very hit or miss. So when I try to play with the folks on the normal community, it's depressing and just so so very pathetic.

Is anyone still playing this? And do you know of any active easy communities that I can try to join? Or any advice? I feel like by the time I get good enough to play the 150 cc communities that are available right now, NO ONE will be playing anymore.

Well it's actually my first MK game, so I have nothing to compare it to. I know other people are playing, because when I go on wifi I have the option to play against them. But they're all advanced players, since they've been playing forever now. You're probably right though, no one new is buying it, if they can buy MK8.

People are apparently still playing old DS games, so I assume they must be playing this game too (at least it's newer in comparison to DS games).

Plus not everyone has a wiiu to get MK8. Right?Right?

I still play Mario Kart 7 at time to time, But it really seems not alot of TBT'ers play it anymore which is a shame.

I have this game and I still play because I haven't beat Mirror Cup just yet. Plus, I don't have a Wii U or MK8 just yet. I'm terrible at online competitive play, though, compared to a lot of the other people that still play.

Yeah it looks like the only people still competing online are the super experienced players. I wish I'd picked it up earlier. Was there ever 100cc communities?

I find it hard to believe though. People play older games all the time, if they had it and they loved it. And it's only the last game in the series, not like it was 10 years ago! Which, if you look at the Animal Crossing forums, people still play the older games from YEARS ago.

I used the wireless download play and me and my friend will do the battles. The game is still 40$ where I live so I don't know any people that play. I've done very few online races since I ALWAYS run into hackers and it's no fun

I'd really like to play the new MKs but for now I come back to MK7 every now and again~

It's good to know I'm not the only one. I also do the download play, but with my nieces, since they are the only people I know IRL with Nintendos. They love it and think it's fun, so I have fun too. But since the only time they can play is with me, they aren't very good at it. So it's either play them, or, like you said, the hackers and show-offs online. lol

Welp, I still have a lot of the 150 cups to get, and then I'll have the mirror challenges, so I'll probably be busy for a while still, all alone and by myself. XD

Someone was selling a code to it in the Marketplace, and people were willing to pay a LOT of TBT though. So IDK, it seems on this thread no one plays, but I suspect they really do. It's just old news so no one talks about it anymore.

I'm getting better all the time, but I just will never be able to win any race online, cuz those people are crazy! Best I can aim for is 3rd or 4th place, or someone's sandbagging to fail XD. I guess I can live with that. It's still fun.
