Marina will not ping me. Help?

Yesterday I was told by a villager that Marina was planning on moving away soon. I then ran by her a few times to try and get her to ping, but no such luck. I kept TTing an hour ahead for a while before I gave up because she didn't want to ping me. I ran by other villagers too in case they wanted to ping. Today I've been trying to do the same thing (TT'd backwards many hours so that the day wouldn't pass) with no such luck, again. The Harvest Festival is currently going on so I don't know if that's the reason she won't ping me? I don't know what to do. If I lose her I'll be hella upset.

The same thing is happening to me with Lobo right now, Gladys told me this morning he was thinking of moving, but when I tried to get him to ping me, he didn't. You probably aren't getting a ping because of the Harvest Festival though, so I wouldn't be worried. ^^

I suppose your only choice is to probably save and quit, and try walking in front of her more. The same thing happens to me sometimes, and save/quitting works for me. Also, animals will not move/ping if there is a big event! Found that out the hard way.

I've heard villagers won't ping on event days. You'd probably have to time travel to the next day and then pray she isn't moving that day. I had the same thing happen with Mitzi but luckily I went forward one day and she wasn't planning to move until two days later.

I've had moving rumors on holidays, for me, the movers always pinged the next day. The chances are slim that Marina will move tomorrow, she probably has some time left if you just started getting the gossip.

Villagers can't ping on events. Once the event has ended she will ping on you, such as like fishing tournaments. Once your out of the event, save and quit, load the game and run to Marina (Unless someone else pings on you!). If someone does ping before you get to Marina or if Marina doesn't ping. Save and quit and repeat till she does.

To get out of the event.... I think you will need to time travel a day forward, hopefully she won't be thinking of moving that soon. IDK when the Harvest Event ends.

What I'd do is use the 3DS clock, change the date one day ahead, load on a new character and check if Marina is leaving.
