Isabelle just told me that my villager Marina is moving out tomorrow TT__TT Is there any way, any way at all, to keep her? I don't have any specific dreamies like everybody else but I have grown to like Marina and would love to keep her :-/

But I would like to keep her so bad.. How do I "transfer" her to another player? I am thinking of convincing one of my cousins to keep her for me so I can get her back...

If Marina wasn't among the last 16 villagers to move from their town and they have room for her, they can adopt her by going to your town and talking to her. Eventually, she'll mention that she hasn't found a place to move to yet, and they will have the option to recommend their town. Once they've done that, she should appear in their town within a couple of days.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by "not among the last 16 villagers". Wait, I think I got it...

Hmm, if I start a new town with a new card, using a different 3DS, can I transfer her to my new town? lol (I'm talking crazy. That's a lot of work -_-)

I think you can! If not, I'm sure there are some people here who'll be nice enough to keep her for you! ^^

The exact same thing happened to me last summer.Marina decided to leave without telling me.Fortunately,I had an active cycling town at the time and moved her there temporarily until i could get a space for her in my other non-cycling town.

you'll need to do the 16 cycle to get her back .-.
I am not familiar with the 16 cycle, unfortunately :-/

I think this is what i am going to do...but first, I gotta create a second town. Or just say F it...

I'm sorry that this happened to you! Unfortunately, it's too late to get her to stay now. I've seen people claim that they could talk a villager in boxes out of it but if it's possible, it's very unlikely.

If you have a second copy of the game or if you know someone who could hold her for you, you can move her to another town while you do the 16 villager cycle. This means that she'll even remember you when you invite her back or visit her. While she's in boxes, get the other player (or your other mayor) to visit your town and talk to her. If they have room and haven't had Marina among the last 16 villagers to move out of their towns, they can invite her. You can also just do the 16 villager cycle without doing that and get a new Marina from someone else.

By the way, if you plan on doing that, you'll want to carefully time travel to stay on the same day. Use your 3DS clock and make sure that the in-game hour does not go past 6 AM, and use a new character to check on your town if it does and if you set it back again.

When a villager moves out of your town, you can't immediately invite that villager back. The game remembers the last 16 villagers who have moved out of your town, to keep people from getting repeated villagers too close to one another. If you want to get back a villager you've already had, you need to move out 16 other villagers. The easiest way to do this is to set aside two villager spots and move one out, then the other, again and again, because the last move-in has fewer chances of pinging you to move out.
