I don't really get why people rave on about her so much... I mean... I suppose it depends on what you like. I suppose some people appreciate her songs for the lyrics and deep meanings she brings across through her music, but I can't say I ever listen to music just to be moved by "beautiful lyrics". I don't, really: I listen to songs because they sound catchy and good. And to me... Marina's songs don't stand out much! They're fun... Pop songs but... I can't say they're anything that really makes me think "Oh hell yeah, I'm gonna go listen to the whole discography!" or something. I feel like if an artist is to be liked by me, they have to have that edge that makes them stand out from the rest, I guess? That's probably why there aren't many singers or artists I like all that much.
