Did anyone here ever play it before the Big Bang? It was my favorite thing to play through middle school and I played a little through about half of high school.

I was so addicted to that game before. I was so lazy by the end of it, stayed at level 69, one level away from job advancement.
Post-Big Bang, I played for a week, and got to the mid 70s.

It's completely different than pre big bang. If you want to be really funded it will cost you a lot of money. Also there are a lot of English speakers. Most of us are English speakers, so I'm not sure what that person is talking about. o.o

I played pre Big Bang in elementary school, and when Big Bang came out in high school, a few of my friends got back into it and we played that for a few months.

I honestly don't remember that much about pre-Big Bang, I was like 12 at the time.

Was addicted to it back in 2006-ish.
Party Quests were my main way of leveling and just having a good time with friends.
Will maybe get back into it once MapleStory 2 launches, just for the heck of it and nostalgia.

Oh my gosh, same! I used to play legit but then I joined Private Servers. They were more interesting and kept the classic look.

I LOVED ExtaliaMS! It was so much more rewarding/fun than GMS, plus way less people and free NX. Nothing was excessive too. I'm on a Maple diet though XD

I played for about a week back in middle school, but I got stuck at a part and I didn't know what to do so I just stopped. :| It was... okay... I guess.

Freaky story, my fiance and I met on it 4 years ago. ;_; We haven't played in like 3, I'm not sure if that was before or after Big Bang.

What? They got of NLC? I loved that place, and the Halloween Mansion event.
That was amazing, except that Headless Horseman. :\

Oh maaan, I played long before Big Bang too ! Back when there were only Explorers, around 2006-2007 probably. I played on GMS first, until they blocked European IPs, so I had to go to EMS, which was kinda sucky. Switched to private servers a few years later though, because free NX cash and all that stuff Good times !

Yeah, I definitely miss having just the explorers. I started playing when pirates were new. XD

Yess, same here. There are like, so many different classes now and they've changed literally everything, even the maps of the towns and stuff. It's just kinda overwhelming now imo, compared to how simple (yet very enjoyable !) it used to be.

Ah yes, I played Pre-BB, it was kinda tough and it was seriously fun. My first account became inaccessible for unknown reasons. I miss playing my CB and Cleric. :/

I tried playing as Mercedes and it was a rad experience. She got all the way to 111 before I stopped playing due to college. Now I switched from PC to Mac for college reasons, so I cannot play it again. :c
