So I just got into hacking and, of course, I'm really excited.
Problem is, I'm trying to figure out a layout for my secondary town Hollow, but I'm drawing a blank.

Here's what it looks like currently:

I want the river to split the town in two parts: a smaller town area where all the villagers and buildings go, and a much larger forest area where there is a lot of room to explore. While this layout works, I'm not very happy with it. Can you guys make any suggestions? Thank you!

I've never hacked a town before, so I'm not really sure how it works and what all you can do with it (can you spawn things like clovers? because man, if you can spawn clovers, I might have to actually look into it...). Buuut I think I would move the waterfall down. Like, just dragging that part that loops in the upper left corner and stretching it south so the waterfall faces south and you get that entire side of the town attached with the northern side. Then I'd use that strip of land for villager houses, having the north side of the river be more of the residential area. And then the southern side of the river where the town square is would make a full forest. If that made sense?

I'm a big fan of towns that are split like that, lol. I consider it a great map if I have retail and the town hall to the north and my plaza alone on the south xD

I just realized my suggestion might not make the villager area smaller than the forest area, oops. :(
