Making a villager get their original shirt back?

I'm going to get Zucker later today, and tbh hes a chara that really needs their original shirt. I was wondering if anyone would let me catalog it & what the best way to get him to wear it would be?

I think you can have Isabelle change it by going to the Problematic Citizens option at the front desk.

The one that works for me is to mail it to them, it takes me about two (sometimes more) tries, but it works for me. I'm sorry, I don't think I have the flan though, I'll check...

Sadly, this isn't the solution. :c What Isabelle does is change the villager's shirt into a simple white shirt.

You're gonna have to send him back his original shirt.

Wrapping it up actually works pretty well (but not 100%), and giving it to them on their birthdays guarantees they'll wear them.

NP! It's a commonly suggested solution so I understand why you gave it. I used to tell people this too, until I found out for myself that it doesn't really work like that. ; w;

I think the only default thing Isabelle gives back is their catchphrases. Also I heard from somewhere that the complaints only work if they're adopted from wi-fi/streetpass or something? But not clear on this.

Here's a small guide that is 95% guaranteed to work (95% because I'm not sure if it works for everyone but it works for everyone that I know, including me, that tries). [not my guide by the way - read it off somewhere! I forgot where though and it ALWAYS works for me]

Also, starting off, reporting to Isabelle about problematic clothing DOES NOT work, and does NOT get them back to their default clothing.

how to get villagers into any clothes you want;
1. send the villager 5 of the same clothing through mail.
2. Ta-da! The next day, they should be wearing the shirt you sent 5 times through mail.

oh, and also just putting out there, Zucker's shirt isn't re-orderable! it's an un-orderable, so it will be kind of hard getting 5 of his flan shirt (I attempted to buy 5 of his flan shirt in retail before, back when I had him).

Hope this helped! and this always works for me. That's how I get my villagers into clothes I want. If they don't wear it, do the method again. I did it to Peanut last week, for some reason she didn't wear the shirt I sent her, so I did the method a second time and the next day she was in the clothes I wanted her to be in. :]

I just send multiples of the same shirt via letters/mail x3

I've had a 100% success rate with the 5 shirts at once, and I've done it a lot. They usually do display one in their house too, but that doesn't bother me.
It's kind of crappy when you you want to put villagers in un-orderable shirts though.

My villagers instantly wear the shirts they came with.
Since Zucker wears the flan shirt, you have to get it from Gracie, which is out of season and can't be reordered
