Excuse me? Gay Marriage is a great thing happening for me and the rest of the states. Look, If a guy or a girl was in your family and she or he was gay.. Would you hate them? It's the same with your Mom and Dad, Would you hate them if they were gay? Go ahead and deny gay marriage.

Some people don't realize they are gay or bi right away. There are many different situations where men get married to women, have kids and then one day finally decide that women is not what they're really into.

And because of society and the church teaching that homosexuality is wrong, you'd figure why closet cases poker face their sexuality.

I on the other hand knew i was gay ever since I was 8. =P

Its all a part of discovering who you are and people find themselves at different times than others.

Rape is an extreme example. It a sexual act used as power to dehumanize the victim in every way possible.

And if that were the case, then I guess lesbians got raped by other women and people just started raping each other and then.... DING! Gay people come out!

To get back on topic, hooray for Maine!

Different people have different beleifs, so of course not everyone will agree with gay marriage. If your against it, you just chose not to be gay/lesbian. If your with it, you choose to be gay/lesbian. If you don't wanna be gay, dont be, but don't pick on those who choose to be gay. It's love, and if you have strong feelings about someone, whether they bebthe same sex or opposite, you should follow your heart. I myself don't want to be gay but I don't think being gay is wrong. If you like the same gender, good for you. If you don't, good for you.

Hopefully, all the states will allow gay marriage.

I don't think you really understand how it works, you don't choose to be gay or not. You don't get to decide who you are attracted to.

Well, I know people that were strait right up until they were in there late teens, care to tell me how that happened? Is it like a delayed reaction or something?

Well I know this is a while back...

I'm not saying I agree with this, but my Dad is a psychologist, and he says that the state of being gay is actually a mental illness caused from trauma or problems with the opposite sex. From what he has learned in college he says that people actually are not born that way. Like I said, I don't know what to think, so please don't turn against me. I have nothing against people being gay, it's their choice. And some of them are the nicest people.

UGH! You really might want to revisit this conversation with your dad. My father was also a psychologist, and my brother is gay. My father and I have discussed in depth the psychological basis of homosexuality. There are some cases in which psychological trauma causes a specific neurosis leading to homosexuality. These cases are incredibly rare. The vast majority of gays, just are. They weren't "turned" gay. They were born gay.
