Different people have different beleifs, so of course not everyone will agree with gay marriage. If your against it, you just chose not to be gay/lesbian. If your with it, you choose to be gay/lesbian. If you don't wanna be gay, dont be, but don't pick on those who choose to be gay. It's love, and if you have strong feelings about someone, whether they bebthe same sex or opposite, you should follow your heart. I myself don't want to be gay but I don't think being gay is wrong. If you like the same gender, good for you. If you don't, good for you.

Hopefully, all the states will allow gay marriage.
I don't think you really understand how it works, you don't choose to be gay or not. You don't get to decide who you are attracted to.
Well, I know people that were strait right up until they were in there late teens, care to tell me how that happened? Is it like a delayed reaction or something?
Well I know this is a while back...

I'm not saying I agree with this, but my Dad is a psychologist, and he says that the state of being gay is actually a mental illness caused from trauma or problems with the opposite sex. From what he has learned in college he says that people actually are not born that way. Like I said, I don't know what to think, so please don't turn against me. I have nothing against people being gay, it's their choice. And some of them are the nicest people.

Gay was prooven not to be a mental illness a long time ago.
I found out I was bi after well, let me explain.
I used to be a christian republican who based all my actions and morals off my parents, then someone showed me gay pron, it sparked something inside of me and I was very confused, I started taking long thoughts about life and homosexuality, and at some points look up more gay pron on the internet to see if it turned me on, it eventually did and my long thinking completely changed my perspectives of life and shaped me into what I am today.

I've heard people say it was brain defects.
But I can honestly tell you, I've never had trauma or problems with girls before.
It's just what his job has taught him. Not that it's right, though.

It's not a mental illness.

Today, the consensus of medical and scientific professional organizations is that homosexuality is not a mental illness. In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association (APA) removed homosexuality as a disorder from the Sexual Deviancy section of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the DSM-II. The World Health Organization's ICD-9 (1977) listed homosexuality as a mental illness, and in 1990, a resolution was adopted to remove it in the ICD-10 (1993).

I've always had an interest in the same sex since I was a little boy, but I never really put thought into like I did after seeing that gay pron, when I was little well... you can PM me if you want to hear more but after I saw that gay pron, I didn't want to look at it... but I wanted to see more.
I've been bicurious since I was 4.

haha no, I got showed gay pron in the 8th grade which led me to knowing I was bi, when I was 4 I did other things with my male friends that eventually got me sent to a psychologist. Which was at... 8-10 years old I think.
