Mage hat question

The videos/pics i've seen of the mage hat shows it striped but the ones in my tailor shop were solid color. are there 2 types of mage/witch hats? do you get both from the tailor shop?

The striped versions are new for Halloween (they're called Mage's striped hat)! You can find them cycling through the shop occasionally in October, remember to use the changing room for more color options.

There are so many items that look the same with different names.

Like the frugal hat.

I think I'd have to disagree with you on that one. The mage hat and the frugal hat have different base models, where the mage hat has a wider brim and the tip is bent, the frugal hat has little cuts in the brim. I'm not positive because I don't have it yet, but I do believe based on pictures that the striped mage hat is probably just the mage hat with a different texture. I'll give you that one, I just wanted to defend the frugal hat.

They are similar enough for me to not have noticed, but I just checked and can see the difference. Kinda all like witches hats.
