Just to make it clear for the future (and please don't think I'm calling you out in particular because this happens so often), but if anyone really wants to claim a villager, please make that clear in the post. Just saying the villager's name can be confusing for me, and I don't know if you just like a certain villager or are actually interested in adopting

That's okay! I just wasn't sure if either of you were actually interested in adopting him, and I didn't want to accidentally be unfair by being confused over the situation. Just know that in my thread (and I would assume others as well) that outwardly claiming is never rude, especially if you add the word please, a smiley face, etc
