Didn't Charles Martinet say via twitter or something that there was going to be a new Mario game that wasn't NSMBW or Super Mario Galaxy 2?

I seem to recall him saying something along those lines.

No, it's very likely just Nintendo renewing their trademark. Luigi's Mansion started development approximately 10 years from now, which is when Nintendo would've registered the trademark. Now that 10 years has passed, the trademark has expired, so they need to reregister it. When you put the facts together, it's very doubtful that they registered the trademark to make a sequel or remake. That doesn't mean they won't do so someday, however. But the chances that Nintendo renewed the Luigi Mansion trademark because of a sequel or remake is very slim.

What the hell is your problem?! All I posted were facts. I am in no way telling you that you can't have your own ideas. But the facts point to this renewing of a trademark not meaning anything significant, besides the fact that Nintendo may have future plans for the name, or they just want to keep it trademarked (they trademark a ton of things that they never use). Sure, it's possible that there's going to be a new Luigi's Mansion game made in the future, but this trademark doesn't mean that it's confirmed or anything. I'd like to see a Luigi's Mansion 2 myself, and maybe there will be, maybe there won't be, but we have no proof of anything at the moment. It's all just speculation. And you're free to speculate, I never said you weren't. >_>

Yes, but that could be anything, with all the Mario spinoffs out there. Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Strikers, Mario Baseball, Mario Kart, Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, Dr. Mario, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, or something completely new.

But there are more of them, so the chances that it isn't Luigi's Mansion 2 is far greater than it is. I'm not saying that it's not, because it's completely possible, but it's more likely to be something else.
