Luigi’s Mansion 3 General Discussion

I want to get this game but I just bought Ring Fit Adventure and pre-ordered Pokemon Shield so I’m like... do I get this one too or wait a bit? Is it good enough for me to pick up now or should I wait until like early next year to get it? I’m conflicted

I feel like you should be able to get through the game before pokemon sword/shield comes out. It's not that long of a game actually, only 13 or so hours iirc. I bought it on release day and im already a few floors away from the final boss. I feel like this game is a bit better than the others I've played (but of course i cant speak for everyone). I'm sure you'll have a blast if/when you decide to purchase. (besides who DOESN'T want to bash ghosts onto the ground?)

Finished the game yesterday. Still four gems missing though but I love searching these little buggers out.

Mechanic Ghost is by far the worst designed boss I've ever seen in a game.

And why the **** won't it let me skip the cutscene?

Been at it for an hour and now I'm just gonna drop the game.

For a Nintendo game, yeah, it's definitely up there.

I really hated that part. There's a non skippable 40 second cutscene in the middle of the final boss encounter which drove me bonkers.

For me, I gotta say; Luigi's Mansion 3 was really a mixed bag.

Okay yeah I'll give you that. For a Nintendo game, it's poorly designed. Other games, definitely have some worse ones.

Forty seconds? Jesus.

I just started playing the game tonight and got to the point where E. Gadd sets up his lab. Overall I enjoyed it.

I noticed two things that weren't great though. The first was a glitch where Luigi clipped into the floor when I tried picking up the phone in the hotel lobby. It didn't cause any inconvenience since it just re-positioned right away, but still. You don't normally encounter glitches like that so early in a Nintendo game and especially not one that's so noticeable.

The second and more concerning issue is that combat feels a lot slower in this game compared to Dark Moon. Perhaps I'll get more used to it as the game goes on.

Despite those issues, the game looks promising and I look forward to being able to play more.

Combat does seem to be vastly focused around slamming enemies into the ground.
