Luigi's Mansion 2

So, I don't see a thread on this particular game, so I thought i'd make one.

To me this is the most exciting reveal at all of E3, it's something i've wanted for quite a long time, since Luigi's Mansion is my favorite Mario game.
First Impressions: Atmosphere seems alot different than the first, it seems to be taking on a sillier aspect, while the first was creepy, but with a lighthearted nature, but this is only a few seconds of presumably alpha footage, so i'll withhold that until later.
New things from the first: One thing I noticed was a new tool that works sort of like a big flash that generates light in alot bigger area than the flashlight, useful to sucking up multiple ghosts at once that are far apart. The ghosts also have a redesign, and even small ghosts seem to be more prominent, playing pranks on Luigi and such. I didn't notice any protrait ghosts, but i'm assuming there will be. There's also going to be multiple mansions, meaning that this game will have alot of content and will be alot longer than the first, which is very good news.

but i dunno, still nothing that really grasps me as "buy this right now" except the free pokedex. it's like i'm actually 6 years old again.

but glad they didn't just let luigi die.

Well, in the next 6 months there will be Mario Kart, Kid Icarus, Super Mario 3DS, Starfox 64 3D and OoT 64 3D. If the combination of all of those in the next 6 months doesn't interest you in buying a 3DS I don't know what will. And then in the next 12 months after that will hold Animal Crossing, Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion 2 presumably. That's a lot of stuff.

I'm excited. I've never played the first, but I used to watch my brother play it all the time, so it kind of has a sentimental meaning to me. But I'm definitely buying this one. I'm hoping that with the various mansions, maybe some will be kind of creepy like the first game, and then some sillier, like the Egyptian one. I'd be really neat if there was one that was really scary. I hope E. Gadd is in this game, and maybe they'll upgrade the gameboy horror to a DS horror? Or something like that.

I get not wanting the ports but Kid Icarus looks pretty awesome. And that 3v3 multiplayer online mode.

i would argue against kid icarus' need for a reboot.

Luigi's Mansion is one of my all-time favorite video games. I've been waiting for Luigi's Mansion 2 ever since the Wii came out. I cannot wait for all of the other games lined-up as well. Nintendo can haz my wallet.

If Nintendo brought back classics on the wii as quickly as they are as the 3DS, it wouldn't have lacked good games other than party and cheesy games.

alright then, how about we compare it to smash bros. brawl, a game whose online lag was so balls-to-wall awful that i avoided playing the game for months.
that was made by the same company as this, 3 years ago, on a home console.

i'm just saying, until i see it happen, i have no hopes for online from nintendo, aside from things that don't mind having some lag (animal crossing is an example)

i haven't played my wii or bought a 3ds (though i have played it, not online though) for quite a while now, so i can't really give anything more recent than smash bros bawrl. sorry bout that, i guess. it was a game that was supposed to work.
