Yesterday I got dressed just wearing what you?d usually wear when it was raining and when I passed the CAT Machine and it was going off, I looked at the objectives and just happened to be wearing my lucky item... And I was able to find out what it was later when Flora invited me over (Lovely phone) but it was a hat so obviously not too lucky with such a common item under those circumstances but it made me curious to see what others have gotten if you happen to find out what it is... Since I don?t have Katrina yet I?ve never even bothered trying to fulfill this one and then managed to do it without even trying is either funny or sad, I haven?t decided yet. But does anyone care to share?

When I see the Lucky Item initiative, I just try all the clothes I have on hand to see if one of them hits lol. I really need the coupons, so I make the effort even though it's sometimes tedious trying to find the lucky item in my mess of clothing. (In my town of Ravena, I just wear the Celebration hat and don't worry about it.)
I have the lovely phone in my house, so it's easy to check. I'll bet someone can sell you one at the Re-tail section. 
It changes daily depending on the character's zodiac sign. So every day it's a different item, but if you have more them one character in town with the same star sign, the item will be the same for them during said day.

You can catalog the celebration hat or tingle hood that Katrina sells. Katrina charges 10,000 bells for a hat or hood.
The celebration hat is around 250 bells and can be ordered from your store.
I use to go by the lucky item of the day but stopped. It's easy to just put the Katrina hat on. There is friendship lucky days and I want PWP.
On money days the Jocks will give you more bells for an item. Teddy said 1,000 bells for an item and than he gave me 1,250 bells.

Kody did that with me today! For the first time since I started playing with the update, I thought they took it out since it had never happened actually... I’m just really slow because I never cottoned on to it being because of a lucky day. And the fact that your lucky item changes daily so of course the initiative would reflect that (duh), thanks for clearing that up so I can quit wondering about it

I've seen comments that sick days interfere with amiibo move-ins or something. I'm not sure exactly how that works myself, but definitely no more sick villagers since the update.
Yep, no problem. I was pretty happy about that myself as well.
