Lucky Clothing of the day???

So I'm aware that there is lucky clothing that changes daily and I have the lovely phone to tell me what to wear. My question is how long do you have to wear the article of clothing for to get the luck boost? Can I put the article on then take it off and still have the luck boost for the day or do I have to wear the lucky clothing all day for its effect??

The lucky item of the day is for 24 hours. It starts at 12am. If you want the luck boost you need to wear it for the time you play.
Most players just wear the item if they are tripping.

You get the luck boost only while you're wearing the lucky item. So if you have the tripping bad luck, you won't trip as long as you're wearing the lucky item, but if you take it off, then you'll start tripping again.
