Nintendo is really unhelpful sometimes. The other day I called because my game froze (it went normal after half an hour thank god) and I asked how I could prevent this from happening etc the lady basically told me to look on the Internet ... Thanks.

Unfortunate...I hate it when companies refuse to show their customers any respect/consideration. I would love the bells, and thank you so much for the offer! Everything helps, really. <3 PM me and we can arrange a meeting?

Is that USD? Eeesh. I paid $40 USD for my copy, which I thought was a little steep for a DS game but worth it...until it started giving me all these issues. I haven't looked to see if the price has dropped any since then...

By NZ I would assume New Zealand, so it would be in New Zealand Dollars. Why would they use USD outside of America?

I also honestly don't know what you expect Nintendo to do about it, they can only troubleshoot, you sound like you expected them to come round to your house and fix it with magic or send some magic through the air to fix your game.
There's literally nothing they can do if you have a defective cartridge.

The people to contact about that would be your supplier, either take it back and get a replacement or buy a new copy and using the receipt of the new one, take the old one back and get a refund.

Edit: Actually through reading these forums it seems a lot of people complain to Nintendo and curse at them for not fixing problems they logically wouldn't be able to fix.

I actually have a physical copy of the game. SD card has never been modified, nothing has ever been done that (to my knowledge) would have triggered the corruption. What gets me is that this happened not just once, but twice. You better believe after the first corruption I did everything possible to prevent it from happening again. I was beyond careful about saving, making sure my DS wasn't touched by anyone or anything but me, etc. And yet, just weeks after the first corruption, I opened my DS and started the game only to get the very same error message over again. We even sent it in and tried to have the data recovered - Nintendo said there was nothing they could do. I have no idea what has been causing this to happen to me. It's got to be one of the most frustrating things I've ever experienced in my life, seriously.

@KitsuneNikki - Thank you so much for the offer of help. I decided not to ask formally this time because SO many people helped me out last time only for it to happen again...but I will gladly accept anything you'd like to donate. <3

I really wish people would figure out why this happens. It can't just be you open up the game one ordinary day and it decides to corrupt.

I know...after I got a new SD card and it still did it again, I thought for sure it had to be something with my 3DS XL but Nintendo says they found nothing wrong and other forum users have suggested it may be the game cartridge that's the problem...I have no idea, I just know it's very frustrating.

Being ignored is awesome.
If it was your machine, all your other games would corrupt as well.

Nintendo can't do anything about your game cartridge, why do people think they can?
If you want it replaced go back to your supplier.

They said there wasn't anything they could do except replace my system...which they offered to do with a blue or red 3DS XL because they claimed they didn't have anymore of the special edition gold Zelda 3DS XLs in stock. I thought that was weird, first of all, and an unfair trade, secondly...so I kept my original system. *shrug*

Not a corrupt per se like I lost save game, but my physical did screw up once with moving in/out villagers. I was pretty pissed, yes.
Sucks when it happens though. :C

After 900 hours in game, I almost lost it once (took an hour to save), but to actually lose it D:
That's only ever happened to me in Wild World. When I get my new copy and if I get my new copy in April, I'll cycle it get your dreamies ^w^ free ofc. No one should be put through that pain
