I found a lost item on the ground and I asked every villager who it belongs to and nobody is claiming it. I think it belongs to the the character who moved out yesterday... What do I do?

I cant:
Bury it.
Sell it.
Trash it.
Drop it.
Mail it.

I think you have 24 hours to return it before it expires.

I didn't know it expired..I usually just try and find whoever owned it

Yeah, I found a lost item about two days ago then someone moved out that same day so I can't find who it belongs to. And I still can't do anything with it two days later so idk.
